Other Bands We Like

Recommended Posts

Okay so I didn't look SUPER hard but I can't find a discussion about other bands that the members of the MCRmy like, and I'm curios to see if we all have more bandoms in common than My Chemical Romance.

I for example am currently obsessed with Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, and Of Mice And Men.

What about you guys?

Oh man, glad to see a thread for this haha

I love lots of other music, but particularly in the metalcore/post hardcover scene.

A Day to Remember, Bring me The Horizon, Ice None Kills, Asking Alexandria, Pierce the Veil, Blessthefall, Crown the Empire...

I also like other diverse bands like Crosses, the Maine, Breaking Benjamin, Slipknot, etc...

I also listen to lots of EDM music.

I listen to most of the mcr connected bands, P!ATD oh and some indie bands like one from the UK, Missing Andy. I also listen to Kaisher Chiefs and more bands that my dad likes. I just listen to stuff I'm recommended really

I'm a bitch and I tend to hate bands other MCR fans like out of principle But bands I really dig as of late include: the luminers, hooray for the riff raff, lake street dive, vampire weekend, cool war kids, good old war, jill tracy, panic at the disco, wonder years, the starting line, Brand New, Stray Light Run, Wonder Years, The Dangerous Summer and a bunch of others.

I still mainly listen to the same music I liked 10 years ago in middle school but I still find new artists I like sometimes

I'm always really into Taking Back Sunday

I really like Vampire Weekend too; I like Walk The Moon and twenty one pilots

Matt and Kim, Senses Fail are great, Cage the Elephant, FIATC, Bear Hands, Foals

I really like Vampire Weekend too but that's only cause my mum is a fan. She's always playing their songs. When I were younger, I used to make fun of the lyrics with my brother cause they are quite random.

They are pretty strange, a lot of their songs are really symbolic and when you pick apart the meanings it can get pretty interesting!

Ah, Panic! At The Disco. My first love. And my first concert!

Me too! I started listening to Panic! precisely 24 days before MCR. :P My first concert was theirs on September 18th 2015.

Also, based on all these responses, you guys might like this cool mashup I found a while ago. I'm Not Okay (I Promise) was actually the second song I ever heard of MCR's because of this. Hope you guys like it!

I'm going to a Weezer & Panic! concert July 1st, it was my sister's birthday present to me.

She's amazing and I love her

But, other than that, I have waaay too many bands that I'm into to list here.

That and I'm too lazy to list them, honestly

I am into almost everything. If you were to put my music on shuffle and listen to my library, you'd become neurotic. XD But the bands I've lately been listening to a lot are Icon For Hire, Fall Out Boy, BabyMetal, Three Days Grace, Valora, Halestorm, The Used, and Skillet.

I've had a bit of a grudge with Babymetal recently. I mean, tje idea of "kawii metal" just doesn't feel right to me. Metal isn't supposed to be cute, it's supposed to be loud, angry, and all that. metal is supposed to say fuck you and everything you love, not hey look at me I'm cute teehee. Just, no.

I have no problem with the members as people, though, don't get me wrong. I'll give them credit, they're really young but they're so successful. Hell, a lot of metal icons have endorsed them; Rob Zombie, Abbath (Ex Member of Immortal who now does his own thing, Immortal was an influential black metal band), Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Lamb of God, etc. Obviously, they're doing something right, and I admire them for that. Hell, they won Best Live Performance at the Kerrang awards.

Still though, I'm a huge metalhead, and I've listened to a lot of stuff. But I'm just not a fan of Babymetal.

thanks! lol guess what though. One "metalhead" I know was just raving about BabyMetal...so I guess I've gotta check this out now and see/hear for myself. If it is who I think, then SEE is one i can already laugh about...um yeah, LOL!

Will take a listen some other day.

So in case you didn't read it on the other page, think I might kinda get into Babymetal a bit. (*silly grin) I HEARD them and the sound is pretty great, and the singer reminds me of, my second? Zfavorite metalish band, Lacuna Coil (korn being my fave). Hmmm so yeah....but they still look like a high school dance team, so to keep from laughing, I look away a lot. Haha! Seriously, no offense. They ARE talented.I just...no! :)
