Tina 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2011 Hello Everyone, The mods and I have noticed threads on the board that depict the band members in a purely sexual/ sexually suggestive way. This includes fan fiction, posts about wanting to see certain things happen between band members. It makes a lot of other members of the forum uncomfortable. We already don't allow sexual fan fiction and discussion about private lives and see this in the same vein. We've also noticed some terrible insults being hurled around- "rape" is not something to be thrown around casually. It is a serious violation in every way and using it as a threat or a joke will not be tolerated. You will be warned. Several warnings will lead to banishment. The mods and i have devised a system of evaluating the severity of things that happen on the boards- if there are any issues, we will message you privately. We realize that mistakes are made and confusion occurs so you will always be warned (unless you're a spammer). Several warnings will lead to strong reprimands like suspension and then later banishment. This system is not meant to be seen as a threat but as a way of keeping conversations clean and create a place where not only you but the band members will want to hang out. Do you mind if I mention that besides "rape" users shouldn't use the word "faggot" or anything similar due to its offensiveness? Cause I've gotten complaints on that. Also, if the stipulation arises, Scenarios are not lumped with Fanfiction as they do not depict the band in a sexual manner (and never have). Cause it's not a joke. And yeah, the band should be able to browse the site comfortably. They should be able to go anywhere on the internet comfortably. I wish people would understand that. UGH. And we are all family. We shouldn't call each other names. We shouldn't call people outside of the family names. It's just mean, and there's actually no point in doing it. We need not hope this is listened to when we can make sure people see it and have to listen. As Tina said, we want this place to be comfortable for all of us and for the band, as well. That's messed up. You don't need to associate with people like that. Our mods here are awesome, any offending posts will be deleted and I'm sure anyone who doesn't listen will get a talkin' to.
